Parallax Play "Digital game collectors looking to add a new game to their virtual library will be able to download Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory, the third game in the series from Sony's Playstation Network service later this month. Released earlier this year on disc only, the upcoming digital release will allow fans who've yet to pick up the moe-video-game-maiden-filled RPG to pull the game directly to their console from the comfort of their own homes when the game is made available to download on PSN on November 27th for Europe and November 26th for North America. With the recent anime adaptation of the Neptunia series this summer, the digital release would also give fans of the anime an easy way to purchase the game to experience the game it was based on "

The audience here is well established, but there are a great many attempts to court a more mainstream audience and prove that there are still surprises to be found in the plots of the genre. And while I give points for effort, there are just too many moments where it stumbles to make the parts that shine work."

From the minds at Compile Heart and Idea Factory comes the third game in the Hyperdimension Neptunia series, Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory. For those unfamiliar with the series, it follows four goddesses who each serve as a representation of one of the four major video game console manufacturers: Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft and Sega. Each goddess wants to rule Gameindustri for themselves, and the game follows the struggle between the goddesses. While this premise sounds interesting, the Hyperdimension Neptunia games fail to deliver a solid gaming experience. There was always something that brought the games down, whether it was an awkward quest system or cheesy dialogue. While Victory is arguably the best game in the series to date, it doesnt manage to break away from what has been plaguing the series all along.
